- One of the potential disadvantage of the "island-hop" was that although american had more warships then Japan, but the potential advantage was that Japan was better equipped and seasoned to deal with any battle at sea.
Focus Q 3 - Why do you think the Japanese changed their approach from trying to win the support of the colonial peoples to acting as conquerors?
- I think they just assumed it would be more effictive to use force, but unfortunately the force was actually brutal behavior.
